What are your gold necklaces made from?
We’ve attempted to use the best materials possible, while keeping the price reasonable. Our gold necklaces are made using sterling silver with 10 karat gold plating. This is then covered in a ceramic e-coating to add durability and longevity.

How do I care for my gold jewellery?
Use warm (not hot) water with a gentle detergent (try and avoid harsh chemicals). Dip your piece in the soapy water and use your fingers to wash away any dirt. Rinse off and pat dry. Ta-dah!
While we’ve done everything we can to make this piece as durable as possible, to keep your piece looking fresh we recommend putting it on after apply lotions or perfume and removing before heavy exercise.

What is gold vermeil?
Vermeil is a high quality version of gold plating. Vermeil uses sterling silver as the base metal (making it ideal for wearers with allergies to nickel or copper jewellery) which is then coated in a thick layer (ours is 3 microns!) of 14 karat gold.
This process gives the look of gold jewellery, without the hefty price tag at a time when gold is at an all time price premium.
-
What is ceramic e-coating?
E-coating or “electrophoretic coating” is a process of adding an enamel coating to the surface of an object using electrical currents. This semi-translucent layer adheres to the surface of the jewellery and is then baked in a kiln to cure.
E-coating adds an additional layer of protection and strength to your piece to ensure longevity.

Why are they so expensive?
